Additional General Education Courses Required
Some of the general education requirements will be met by courses listed above. For the following additional course requirements, you can choose the specific courses from an approved list. You may have already met some of these requirements during your prior study. If you need additional general education course credit, you may earn it in three ways: complete a course at Ohio University through traditional face-to-face delivery at one of our six campuses, complete a course online from OHIO, or complete a course at another college and transfer the credit to Ohio University.
For more information about General Education requirements, including a list of courses that meet the above listed requirements, please visit the Ohio University 2012-2013 catalog.
Total Credits
A total of 120 credits with a 2.0 grade point average is required. Many of these hours you may have already completed, and they can be transferred to Ohio University; some will be earned while taking nursing courses and support courses. After you apply to the program and submit transcripts, a review of your records of previous coursework will help us provide a course map illustrating the most expeditious way to complete your BSN. For further information about the RN-to-BSN courses, please visit Ohio University's BSN catalog page.
